DESCRIPTION:https://erc.ucla.edu/course/heat-webinar/\r \n \r \n April 2021 – With the weather warming up and in preparation for summer\, employers must\n review and ensure compliance with the Cal/OSHA Heat Illness Prevention regulation for\n outdoor places of employment (we will briefly discuss indoor heat illness\n as well).\n During this 4hr live-webinar we will help employers and employees improve their safety\n programs by explaining the roles supervisors and employees must play in order to\n prevent heat illness at the workplace and stay compliant with this important California\n law.\n Course Overview:\n \n Introduction to the Cal/OSHA requirements for Heat Illness Prevention\n Requirements for water\, shade and rest\n The Cal/OSHA required written Heat Illness Prevention Plan for outdoor places\n 	of employment\n Cal/OSHA training requirements for employers and employees\n Brief review to the latest draft for indoor heat illness prevention\n Real life cases and Cal/OSHA citations under this standard.\n \n \n Learning Objectives\n This course will enable participants to:\n \n Describe the importance of the Cal/OSHA’s Maria Isabel Vasquez Jimenez\n 	Standard.\n Mention two different ways to comply with the employer’s obligations to provide\n 	water\, rest\, and shade for workers in an outdoor environment\n Describe what constitutes “High Heat Procedures” under the standard\n Identify the elements of training for employees\n Identify the additional elements of training for supervisors\n Review a sample plan and enable participants to customize their own HIPP\n \n \n Agenda *\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n  \n \n \n 1.
